Aqua Slab sets full lines in uppercase Alfa Slab One in a bright aqua with no stroke, shadow or box, and each line fades out as it ends. It suits clips over dark footage, tech and gaming content where the colour alone provides the contrast.

Aqua Slab strips the slab serif back to colour. Alfa Slab One in uppercase is set in a saturated aqua with nothing behind it, so it is the cleanest of the slab styles and looks best on dark or desaturated video.

The only motion is a fade out over the last 40 percent of each line. Every word is the same colour, so there is no spoken-word highlight.

Pick it for tech reviews, gaming over dark scenes and night footage. On bright backgrounds choose Slab Yellow or Lime Slab, which add a stroke.

Frequent questions

Yes. Pick Aqua Slab, then open Customise in the editor to change the text colour, the highlight colour, the font and where the captions sit. The change applies to the whole transcript at once, so you keep the same motion and layout with your own palette.

Yes. The style is language neutral: the font, colours and animation apply to whatever language Crayo transcribes. Portuguese uses Latin letters, which Alfa Slab One is built for. For scripts such as Arabic, Hebrew or Japanese, swap the font in Customise and keep the rest of the look.

Auto Clip clips open in the Crayo editor, and the Styles panel lists Aqua Slab with line grouping, which is the default. Tap it once and it applies to every line of the transcript.

There is no separate charge for caption styles. Every Crayo plan, Hobby, Clipper and Pro, includes Aqua Slab and every other style in this gallery, plus the editor to customise them. Crayo itself is a paid subscription.
