Yellow Serif caption style

Yellow Serif caption style preview

Yellow Serif shows one word at a time in Imbue, a tall condensed serif, in bright yellow with no stroke or shadow, sliding in from the left along the baseline. It suits fashion, editorial and luxury-style clips over dark footage.

Best for
Fashion, editorial and luxury clips over dark footage

Yellow Serif is the editorial choice. Imbue is a narrow, high-contrast serif, and here it is set in a bright yellow with nothing behind it, which gives it a magazine feel on dark or muted footage.

Each word slides in 18px from the left over roughly the first third of its time on screen, anchored at the baseline, so the text seems to be typeset in front of the viewer.

Use it for fashion, beauty, luxury and editorial content, and for quotes over cinematic b-roll. On bright video it will struggle without a stroke; Slab Yellow or Yellow Comic hold up better there.

FAQs

Frequent questions

Yes. Pick Yellow Serif, then open Customise in the editor to change the text colour, the highlight colour, the font and where the captions sit. The change applies to the whole transcript at once, so you keep the same motion and layout with your own palette.

Yes. The style is language neutral: the font, colours and animation apply to whatever language Crayo transcribes. Italian uses Latin letters, which Imbue is built for. For scripts such as Arabic, Hebrew or Japanese, swap the font in Customise and keep the rest of the look.

Auto Clip clips open in the Crayo editor, and the Styles panel lists Yellow Serif with the one word at a time grouping switched on. Tap it once and it applies to every line of the transcript.

There is no separate charge for caption styles. Every Crayo plan, Hobby, Clipper and Pro, includes Yellow Serif and every other style in this gallery, plus the editor to customise them. Crayo itself is a paid subscription.
