Korean captions in short

Crayo transcribes Korean speech and adds animated captions to short clips from podcasts, streams and interviews. It is for Korean streamer and podcast clippers, and creators posting captioned vertical clips to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Korean video culture invented much of the on-screen text style that short-form borrowed, and Korean streamers on platforms like Chzzk and SOOP produce hours of content that clip channels cut daily. YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels dominate for Korean audiences, and viewers expect captions on every clip because that is how Korean variety and streaming video has always looked.

Korean is written in Hangul, where letters group into syllable blocks, with spaces between words and occasional Hanja or English mixed in. Transcription handles standard speech well; the lines to check are spacing between words, which Korean speakers themselves disagree on, and names, game terms and internet slang. Crayo transcribes the speech as Korean when selected.

A practical tip: Hangul syllable blocks are compact and read well in bold caption styles, so three to five words per caption works, but preview the style on the clip before export because the fonts differ between the 32 styles and the blocks need a clean, heavy weight at phone size.
