The film definition is literal: the camera stands where a character stands. Short form kept the label but moved the work into text. That drift is why the format is useful. The caption is doing hook duty: it sets the situation in one line, before any dialogue, and it reads instantly with the sound off. Creators who post daily can reuse one visual setup across dozens of different POV lines, which keeps production cost low while the premise stays fresh.

The mistake is treating POV as decoration. Grammatically many popular clips are inconsistent, addressing the viewer as a participant in one line and as an observer in the next, and audiences do notice when the caption promises a scenario the video never delivers. A POV line is a promise, so the payoff has to arrive inside the clip.

In workflow terms the POV line is written first and the visuals are chosen to match, which is the reverse of most editing. Getting the caption on screen inside the first second matters more than the footage behind it, and reusing one background setup across a series keeps production fast while each new premise does the work of holding attention.
